The present carpenters' and painters' sheds

and store are 53' x 25', 13' x 25' and 17'

x 13' respectively. The carpenters' shed provides sufficient the painters' shed and store insufficient accommodation. On the

plan submitted there are shown a carpen- -ters' shed 50' x 30' and painters' shed

and store each 32' x 25'. Estimate.

(iv).Coal Storage. On the plan submitted, 2

shed having the same floor area as the

present one is shown and a possible ex-

-tension to meet future requirements is

also indicated. Estimate..

(v).Quarters for Chinese employees.

At present there are quarters for the

coal coolies only but it is considered advisable also to provide quarters for a coal and boat Sergeant (Chinese), 2

carpenters, 2 sail-makers and 2 paint-

-ers and these are shown on the plan.

(vi).Shed for undesirables.

This shed is required to house deportees from the Straits Settlements, Malay States

and other places on arrival in the Colony

and pending departure to destinations. The

accommodation provided by the existing shed (60' x 19') is quite inadequate and
